How to read these entries
Each data entry compares two readings of the same EPA file. A model number that "came in" appears in the newer file and not in the older one; the file does not say why a model left. A "different best figure" means the highest SEER2, EER2, HSPF2, COP at 5°F, 5°F capacity, 47°F capacity or share kept at 5°F changed for a product with the same name. Medians are computed the same way as on the rest of the site, described on How the ratings are read.
